Is it too early to talk about Christmas? Almost certainly. But this year, probably because it's the only fixed point on the horizon given the ongoing saga of our house purchase, I am indulging myself with a bit of early Christmas planning.
True, we don't yet know whether we'll be spending it here or in our new home. And yes, if it IS in our new home, in all likelihood we will be surrounded by moving boxes, but I DO know that come December 24th, we'll be cosied up next to a log burner (fortunately our new home has one too), toasting my Dad's birthday as the official start of the festivities and scoffing as if our lives depended on it.
I've put together a Christmas board on Pinterest, full of all the things I love about the season. A lot of mini cars with Christmas trees on the roof are featuring this year... moving paranoia perhaps? Anyway, hop on over if you fancy.
I've also been swooning over some new decorations. Earlier in the year I went through all our Christmas decorations and said goodbye to a fair few, boxing them up for charity. Now is the time to send them on their way, so by that rationale, there's room for one or two more, no?
These are just a tiny threesome of pretties that have caught my eye:
You can see more of my Christmas daydreams over on Pinterest. Think I have the decoration sorted, now onto the scoffing. And given that no-one in our family likes turkey, salted caramel fudge is a perfectly legitimate centrepiece for the big day, right?
