1/52: a portrait a week

I’m joining in with the portrait photography project started by Jodi at Che and Fidel this year. I’ll take a photograph of each of the boys, each week for 52 weeks so by the end of the year, I will have 104 portraits of them, documenting where they were and who they were at that moment in time.

I’m looking forward to using some of the portrait photography techniques I learned in college and use without thinking in my work, on my kids. I wonder if they will be willing models….?

I think I will also try to fashion some of the shots in the style of some of the portrait photographers I very much admire. Mind you, that might be first week wishful thinking. It might be all I can do to get them to stand still, let alone craft an artistic shot. Time will tell I guess!
