Last weekend, I had the enormous pleasure of seeing my dear friend Steve marry his beautiful bride Cecile, in a stunning outdoor ceremony at Milton Hill House in Oxfordshire.
The wedding fairies were kind and the sun shone politely all day, the husband performed his best man duties brilliantly (apart from not being able to un-knot the rings from their cushions at the vital moment) and the boys had a whale of a time on the dance floor!
Cecile is French and she had arranged the most beautiful day, with readings in French and English, lavender confetti and a wonderful wedding breakfast of roasted duck followed by tarte tatin.
I do love a good wedding, but seeing one of your loveliest friends marry the girl of his dreams made it all the more special.
Here are a few photographs from the day…

Here they come!

Happy faces all round:
And last but not least, a couple of extra shots, one of their first dance:
And finally, our wedding present - I hand-painted another set of Russian Dolls for Steve, Cecile, Safiya and Kayden to mark their big day (and yes, their outfits are a match to the ones they wore on the day!)…
