Last week I photographed an amazing group of people, namely the Trustees of The Alexandria Trust. The Trust was founded in 2011 with a bold and noble objective; to restore the world class standards of education across the Arab region. They rely on philanthropic support and want to create a new social movement committed to higher education and restore Alexandria as a world centre of learning.
I say amazing because the CVs of the assembled Trustees are incredible. My muses for the day numbered among them a former Ambassador to Beirut and current UN Woman’s Representative to Iraq, a former Director General of the Commonwealth Institute, a Human Rights lawyer and a lecturer at Cairo University.
A great bunch of people with a great plan.
