The view from here…
This week I had the pleasure of this view, out over London’s bridges, with parliament and the London Eye edging the River Thames’ path through the city.
Taken from the tenth floor balcony of one of my client’s offices where I was filming the children’s literature demigod that is Michael Rosen, this photograph actually captures a glimpse of a sunny day which has been very rare in recent months.
I schlepped to London two days in a row this week - felt like a proper commuter-girl - and whilst I do love our capital, I don’t love the tube at rush hour, delayed trains and parking tickets (long story). The Olympics roll into London next week and, well, I’m just not too sure how the already overcrowded and archaic transport network is going to cope to be honest. Let’s hope all the visitors to London are wowed enough by views like these to forgive the inevitable delays and journey frustrations eh?
