Three cubic metres...

I thought I’d show you where I work. My little desk space is a corner of my youngest son’s bedroom, so it is both compact and bijou and free from the sort of things that he would have a field day with at bedtime (cameras, lenses, indelible markers, proofs, the ‘good’ stationery).

Those things are squirrelled away in the drawer units beneath the desk. He hasn’t figured those out. Or if he has, he tidies up after himself and I haven’t yet discovered his menacing…

Fed up with staring at a blank and distinctly magnolia wall, I have this morning faffed about with my prinstagrams and washi tape to create a bit of interest behind my screen. Can you tell I have a work deadline?

I’ve chosen images that Xavi will like looking at as well as those I will like to see in the corner of my eye whilst working. Not quite sure I’ve nailed the arrangement yet but that’s the beauty of washi isn’t it?

This bedroom is in the eaves of our cottage so we have roof beams extending from about a metre off the floor up to the ceiling. You can just see them in this shot. It’s kind of nice to work among wood that is over 300 years old.

So there you go, a little trip around my 3 cubic metres of working space.

Now I suppose I really ought to get on with some work…
